It was a complete privilege and a pleasure to have Lance on board with us for Dear Evan Hansen.  His taste is impeccable, his visual sensibilities are so very sharp, and his tireless efforts to develop each character is remarkable.  He elevated each of our sets with his talents, and he brightened the workplace with his upbeat spirit and unbeatable sense of humor.  His crew is also one of the strongest I’ve ever worked with.  I couldn’t recommend Lance and his incredible team more strongly!

It was my great pleasure to work with Lance Totten on the film JACKPOT.  He is the consummate Set Decorator: resourceful, affable, inquisitive, always professional and prepared, upbeat and energetic, and - very important - just plain funny --. He brings original ideas to the table, and works hard to capture the nuance of visual story-telling in his work. Our design meetings were rewarding deep-dives into the script and the research, as we discussed character, world-building, comedy, and (in this case --) ever-present action --. He is highly experienced with the nuts and bolts of film-making and he delivers attractive, finished sets on time and on budget, with a minimum of drama --. Unsurprisingly, Lance comes with a hard-working, first-rate team, likewise notable for their professionalism and dedication to the project, as well as unfailing good humor --. I look forward to working with Lance again, hopefully in the very near future --!

Working with Lance on Lodge 49 was an absolute pleasure in every respect. He was tireless in getting the slightest detail correct for each character, which drove the inspired choices he brought to the entire project. His keen eye and amiable working style, honed by years of experience, made him the ideal collaborator. His excellent and devoted crew adore him and I understand why. He brings out the best in people with talent and good energy.

Working on Class of 09 with Lance was a pleasure. He has excellent taste. Was deeply detailed and attentive to the needs of character and story. He was cool under pressure and truly cared about his work. I found Lance to be a great collaborator and I look forward to working with him again.

Lance is a consummate Decorator. He is focused on portraying the character as well as successfully managing the logistics and budget of his department. Lance does this with a low maintenance approach and pleasant attitude. Lance is one of my first calls per availability. I intend to work with him in the future.

Lance did exemplary work for me on two BET projects, "The Game" and "Reed Between The Lines". His attention to detail along with input from myself and others (producers and directors) gave us good looking and "lived in" sets.

Lance is flat out one one of the best decorators I know. His depth of understanding of how to decorate to character and not just his own style is a great asset, as well as his understanding of the layers needed to make a set look right. He manages a department well and can really get the job done. I would always make him one of my first choices if available.
